Russell Wilson is lobbying pretty hard to get an NBA team back in the city of Seattle
Ever since the Seattle Supersonics left to become the Oklahoma City Thunder, the cries to bring an NBA franchise back to Seattle have been endless. Well, as of night, you can add a pretty prominent person to that list.
As the NBA Playoffs are ongoing Tuesday night, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson took to his Twitter account where he screamed loud and proud to get a franchise back to his city.
Seattle, Lets stand up & fight to get our team back! The stadium would sell out every game!

Let's start a petition Seattle! @NBA#WhyNotUs
Of course, he could be really caught up in the moment. You see, Tuesday night in Game 1 between the Raptors and Heat, Kyle Lowry drained a half-court buzzer beater to send the game to overtime, giving all of us some basketball fever. So, you could see where Wilson would come up with this sentiment.
Although, remembering the support the Sonics had in the day and seeing how people support the Seahawks endlessly now, it really is not the worst idea in the world to send an NBA franchise back there once again.
Who knows, maybe Wilson will hold enough clout to eventually make it happen.
