The Cleveland Cavaliers set an NBA record against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, with 24 three-point field goals.

The Cleveland Cavaliers could not miss from beyond the arc against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. In the first half against the Hawks in Game 2 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs in Cleveland, the Cavaliers launched 18 three-point field goals in the first half.

They quickly got to the playoff record of 22 in the second half and the team was rolling in a soon-to-be blowout win over the Hawks. While the Cavaliers had the playoff record, they wanted the overall record for threes in a game, which was 23.

That number went down late, when Dahntay Jones unloaded from deep to break the record.

For the Hawks, it’s a bad night when even the players at the end of the bench can’t miss. It’s even worse when they can’t make any shots of their own.

It was a historical night in “The Land” and the Hawks are probably that they get to go home now. The bad news is that they still have to play the Cavaliers in each of the next two games.
