Fantasy baseball streaming pitchers: May 4, 2016
Give your starting rotation a midweek pick-me-up with the help of my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers for the Wednesday, May 4.
Major League Baseball has a solid split schedule today with seven games this afternoon and seven games at 7:05 or later. The Tigers and Indians start at 6:10 in the 15th contest which is either late afternoon or early evening depending on your perspective. With all 30 teams in action for the second day in a row, there are plenty of solid options to consider if you need starting rotation help. To see my top five fantasy baseball streaming pitchers for this Wednesday check out the following slides.

Each morning in this daily post you can find the top five scheduled starters who are available in over 50% of ESPN leagues. I’ve included their ownership level in ESPN leagues in parentheses after their name at the top of each slide. These pitchers are available on waiver wire in most season-long leagues and usually don’t have high salaries in daily fantasy baseball competitions. I think they can step up and produce solid outings given their current form, opponent, and potential to put together solid numbers. Each morning, you can find these “best available” starting pitchers on our FanSided fantasy baseball hub.
Yesterday, my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers were solid but not spectacular. The only win in the bunch came from Justin Nicolino (pictured above) but Steven Wright and Tanner Roark had solid outings but didn’t get run support or bullpen help. The only bad performance from last night came from Nick Tropeano of the Angels who got knocked around for five runs in five innings. In total, my picks went 1-2 with a 4.46 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, and a 5.64 K/9. Since I started this post a couple of weeks ago my 80 selections are a combined 29-29 with a 4.27 ERA, a 1.323 WHIP, and 7.50 K/9.
