The Cavaliers beat the brakes off of the Hawks to take a 2-0 series lead
The Cleveland Cavaliers looked like the far superior team against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 as they went on to win the first game of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. However, no one could have expected to the degree that they would absolutely eviscerate the Hawks in Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night.
While the Hawks tried to save face early, J.R. Smith, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and virtually anyone on the Cavaliers roster couldnāt miss from beyond the arc. It was essentially them releasing all of their long range artillery on the night as they set the record for the most three-pointers made in a single postseason game in NBA history and seemingly do so with ease.
Though they may have played all four quarters, the game was pretty much over after just the first half as the Cavaliers were up by 36 points going into the locker room. Cleveland took an authoritative 2-0 lead in the series and officially put the Hawks on notice that they arenāt going to mess around and leave any doubt in this series.
