Drew Pomeranz-San Diego Padres (6,600)

Pomeranz has been in tough matchups in his last few starts and continues that streak tonight as he has to face off against the Mets’ Noah Syndergaard.  In his last start, he had to duel Clayton Kershaw and took a tough-luck loss allowing one run on three hits in seven innings.  He still finished with 21.4 fantasy points in that start giving him at least 20 if four of his five starts this season.

Even though a win may be hard to come by tonight, he is pitching at pitcher-friendly Petco Park and his strikeouts should continue to pile up.  He has at least five strikeouts in each start this year and will look to keep things rolling tonight against the Mets.

Pomeranz is the best cheap option available for tonight, so if you decide to invest in a big lineup he can be a solid option to consider given his opponent, recent form, and matchup situation coming into tonight’s game.
