What exactly is a superfecta when it comes to betting on the 2016 Kentucky Derby?

Looking to place a wager on the 2016 Kentucky Derby and you’re serious about your bets? Try the ever-intimidating superfecta.

What’s a superfecta, you ask? Only one of the highest payout bets out there. In order to take home cash from a superfecta, you must select which horses you believe will finish in the first four spots of the Kentucky Derby.

For example, you can place a $1 wager on which horse you believe will finish first, second, third and fourth, respectively. This is a step up from the trifecta and can have a much larger payout.

Picking one horse to win it all is tough enough and those who do usually have big money on the line, but anyone going for the superfecta usually has multiple combinations to bet, hoping to strike gold. Heck, if you put $1 down on 100 combinations of top-four finishes, you could still end up cashing out big time if one is correct.

Participate in the superfecta at your own risk and it’s not suggested to put a large amount on multiple combinations, but keep it somewhat small so you can cover more possibilities and still cash out.

The Kentucky Derby is arguably the most exciting of all horse races and definitely the most famous. Millions watch on TV and even place bets at home with watch parties even if they don’t follow horse racing closely. Now that you know what a superfecta is, give it a shot and you might come away with serious winnings.
