Four-star defensive end Logan Rudolph got extra creative when he revealed he was committing to the Clemson Tigers.
Recruiting is a crazy thing these days and social media is a big reason for it turning into a three-ring circus. We only need to look at what happened at Texas A&M over the last few days when five-star quarterback Tate Martell decommitted and receivers coach Aaron Moorehead subtweeted the kid over his lack of loyalty. That resulted in another decommitment and another recruit dropping the Aggies from consideration.
However, social media does give us a few good winners and four-star defensive end Logan Rudolph who made a video and posted it on twitter to reveal where he would be playing his college football.
The video begins in a wooded area with Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone playing and the camera pans over to the 6-3, 230-pounder in cut off jorts and nothing else as he’s chopping down a tree.
Yep, just your ordinary run of the mill commitment video. Nothing more to see here.
Okay, what in the heck was that!?
I thought it was incredibly awesome and took a lot of guts to post that video, but holy cow, good for him to do that and have a little fun with the recruiting process. Which, newsflash is supposed to be fun!
Rudolph is the No. 302 overall recruit regardless of position, No. 20 weak-side defensive end and the No. 4 recruit in the state of South Carolina, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He had 14.5 sacks last year as a junior at Northwestern high school in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
