Snoop Dogg wants to make some music with Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell

Could Snoop Dogg and Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell collaborate on a mixtape?

The list of artists Snoop Dogg has collaborated with over his near quarter century in the music industry is lengthy, ranging from Dr. Dre and Tupac Shakur to Katy Perry and Anna Kendrick.

Now, he’s ready to add Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell to the club.

Bell told TMZ in April that he’d love to team up with the noted Steelers fan on some tracks. Bell released a mixtape in early March under the name “Juice.”

Snoop Dogg told TMZ earlier this week that he was ready to pair up with Bell, as long as the 24-year-old back was successfully rehabbing his season-ending MCL tear.

“I’ll make it happen. I want to make sure his leg’s back right,” he told TMZ. “He’s a Steeler. He gets that love. … Twenty-six, get at me, cuz, so we can make some music. Get your feet back up under you so we can get back in the playoffs and win that thing.”

Bell wasted little time in addressing Snoop’s proposal, taking to Twitter Thursday to express his excitement over the potential collaboration.

Bell rushed for 556 yards in six games before a tackle by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict in Week 8 ended his season. Bell was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in 2014 when he piled up 2,215 yards and 11 touchdowns from scrimmage.

Bell is the latest NFL player to try his hand at rapping, with a history of mixed results. The “Super Bowl Shuffle” is considered a timeless classic, while the recent collaboration of Peyton and Eli Manning on DirecTV’s “Football on your Phone” is parody gold. And let’s not forget that Snoop already collaborated with a formerly Pennsylvania-based NFL star a few years ago.
