Von Miller compares sacking Tom Brady to sleeping on a bed

The Super Bowl MVP offered a unique description of what it’s like to sack the two-time NFL MVP.

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is living the life this offseason, and after his historic postseason run, who can blame him?

He’s made media appearance after media appearance and even had a four-week run on Dancing With The Stars. But it seems that Miller’s made the biggest headlines for his playful jabs at fellow NFL players.

Miller, in his first appearance since being eliminated from Dancing, addressed fans in the Denver area earlier this week. When asked what it’s like to sack four-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady, Miller offered up an interesting response.

“It was like sleeping on a bed,” Miller said.

Hmm. We’re not entirely sure what he means, but the obvious assumption is that he’s insinuating Brady is soft. If sacking Brady is like sleeping, then Miller should be well rested — he finished with two and a half of the Broncos’ four sacks in the 20-18 AFC Championship Game victory.

Brady isn’t alone in drawing light-hearted trash talk from Miller. Carolina Panthers quarterback and reigning league MVP Cam Newton was his target earlier this offseason. After Newton posted a photo on Instagram of him playing water polo, Miller had some fun on Photoshop at Newton’s expense.

The Broncos placed the exclusive franchise tag on Miller in early March, but he has yet to sign a long-term deal. He doesn’t seem overly concerned, however, as he said he plans to be a Bronco for life.
