42-year-old New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon managed to hit a home run against the San Diego Padres.
In what is the most improbable moment in sports history, Bartolo Colon has hit a home run.
This is not a joking matter, this is serious business. On Saturday night, Colon reached his bat out and connected on a pitch that sent a ball clear out of Petco Park. In what many to believe to be the most difficult park to hit a home run, Colon sent one clear out.
Colon, a 42-year-old pitcher, who swings a bat like Charles Barkley, hit a home run. Just hitting one seemed impossible enough for Colon, but the fact he got all of it and sent it up clear out is almost insane. It was quite the way for Colon to hit the first home run of his career.
You have to see it for yourself to believe it.
In all of sports history, there might be very few moments that rival this. This is the equivalent of Rudy making a sack at the end of the game and the team carrying him off on their shoulders.
As Colon rounded the bases, the team began hopping up and down like they won the World Series and they all quickly left the dugout to give Bartolo the business.
The impossible has now become possible.
