Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside suffered a knee injury against the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 and had to leave the game.

The Miami Heat are holding their breath with injury concerns for Hassan Whiteside. During Game 3 against the Toronto Raptors at home on Saturday evening, Whiteside would have his leg bend in an awkward way and would immediately find himself in pain.

He would slowly and methodically limp to the locker room and it was obvious that something bad happened to his leg. Well, it looks like the Heat could be without Whiteside for a while, which could be critical for this series.

It was reported during the game, that Whiteside sprained the same knee that he hurt earlier in the series and that he will be out the remainder of the game.

While a sprain is certainly better than tearing any ligaments, this is still a very serious injury and it could be a while before Whiteside can get back on the court depending just how bad the injury is.

Without Whiteside on the floor, the Heat have a major void to fill in the middle to anchor the paint.
