NHL Playoffs: What channel is Stars vs. Blues Game 5 on?
Here is where you can find out how to watch Game 5 between the Dallas Stars and the St. Louis Blues this afternoon at 1:00 PM ET on TV.
The Dallas Stars will once again host the St. Louis Blues at the American Airlines Center after evening the series on Thursday. Forward Cody Eakin put a shot under the crossbar in OT to give the Stars a 3-2 win over the Blues in Game 4, tying the series 2-2.
The series is down to a best-of-three. The Stars will get Game 5 and a Game 7—if necessary—at home. Dallas has proven to capitalize on the home ice advantage, as they had the second-best home record in the NHL and have won three of five home games in the playoffs.
Their lineup, however, remains questionable. Forward Patrick Eaves, who missed the last three games in the payoffs due to a leg injury, practiced with the team on Friday has yet to be cleared to play. Fellow forward Tyler Seguin missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury is skating on his own but is unquestionably not ready to play with the team.
The Blues will look to regain their lead in the series after Thursday’s overtime loss, which prevented them from clinching a stranglehold on the series. St. Louis fortunately, has zero injuries hampering the team’s success, but there might be a few changes in the lineup out of an attempt to find the most successful line chemistry. The Blues are 3-2 on the road in the playoffs, compared to the Stars’ 3-2 at home record.
Three of the four games in the Stars-Blues series have been decided by one goal, and two games have been settled in overtime. No doubt Game 5 will follow in this pattern, reinforcing the parity between the two teams in many respects on the ice.
The Stars host the Blues in Game 5 this afternoon, May 7 at 3:00 PM ET on NBC Sports Network.
