Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love hit LeBron James with a deep home run pass for a layup against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have the penchant for big plays when Kevin Love and LeBron James are on the court together. During Game 4 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs on Sunday, Love and James connected on a play that they’ve connected on plenty of times before.
After the Atlanta Hawks missed a three-point field goal attempt, James was already streaking down the court when Love hit him with a home run pass that was a thing of beauty on the outlet.
With no one to beat, James was able to go up and make an impressive layup as trailing defenders watched helplessly. This play has been a staple of the Cavaliers’ offense this series, as they’ve been sending a player down the court off of missed threes to hit with the home run pass.
The likely connection tends be Love to James, which means that the Hawks might want to start keeping a body back of their own, because they keep getting burned by the Cavaliers.
