Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving hit a huge step-back jumper over Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford.
With the chance of a sweep, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving brought his best against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 4 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs on Sunday. Whether it was driving through the Hawks’ defense or hitting some huge jumpers, Irving was doing it all on the floor.
After hitting a few huge drives that caused the Hawks’ defense to collapse in the interior, Irving was able to hit one of his biggest shots of the game yet, when he hit a filthy step-back jumper right over Hawks center Al Horford.
The step-back was so big, that Irving almost did the splits on the floor. He also got knocked over on the floor by Horford for his troubles on the play.
When a point guard is aggressive and driving the lane like Irving was in Game 4, it allows them the ability to hit some big step-back jumpers. Horford didn’t quite have the quickness to keep up with him and instead the best he could do was run into him like a linebacker running into a wide receiver.
