Here’s where you can catch Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning on TV.
The Tampa Bay Lightning will try to finish their Eastern Conference Semifinals playoff series against the New York Islanders with a win in Game 5 on Sunday afternoon.
Puck drop for Game 5 from Amalie Arena is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Television coverage will be provided by NBC, with live streaming available using the NBC Sports Live Extra app.
Tampa Bay went up 3-1 in the best of seven series with a 2-1 overtime win at the Barclays Center. For the second consecutive game, the Lightning erased a third period deficit on a Nikita Kucherov goal before scoring shorty into overtime. Kucherov now leads the NHL with eight goals this postseason
This time around, Tampa Bay won on a Jason Garrison rocket from the point past Thomas Greiss after just 1:34 of overtime. Ben Bishop also had one of his best games of the series after some earlier struggles with 27 saves.
The Islanders put some intense pressure on Tampa Bay through the first period and a half, with great bursts of energy from Matt Martin and Cal Clutterbuck on the fourth line. However, New York was only able to beat Bishop once, on Kyle Okposo’s Power Play goal in the first. John Tavares now has not registered a point in three games after totaling 11 through his first seven contests.
New York has been the more physical team over the past two games, but will have to solve Bishop if it is to extend the series.
