One Reddit user decided to make a mashup of New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon’s home run with ‘The Natural in hilarious fashion.
The baseball world still hasn’t stopped buzzing over the first career home run from 42-year-old New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon. The man that swings a bat worse than probably anyone else in the league, did the impossible against the San Diego Padres, when he launched a home run at Petco Park.
The home run and tremendous call has been seared into everyone’s brain and it’s all anyone can talk about when someone brings up the sport now. The home run had such a lasting effect on the baseball world, that it reminded many of that famous scene from ‘The Natural’ for obvious reasons.
The video from Mark Evans, decided to do a world a favor by mashing up Colon’s home run with the home run that Roy Hobbs hit straight into the lights.
The improbable home run along with the fantastic call was made even more epic with the mashup video. There will be very few moments quite like the one Colon had on Saturday.
Sure he didn’t knock out any lights, but he knocked out the hopes and dreams of Padres fans that just watched their team give up a home run to Colon.
