West Ham United fans greet Manchester United to their final home match ever at Upton Park with beer bottles thrown at the clubs bus.
When Manchester United showed up late for their match against West Ham United on Tuesday, fans began to throw beer bottles at the team’s bus, smashing nine windows on the drivers side.
The incident has gone viral on social media after videos surfaced of what actually happened when the away team made their way for West Ham’s final match at Upton Park.

United players even took the time to capture the moment when their bus was being destroyed by Hammer fans.
The team bus isn’t the only thing that had objects thrown at it. Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal had beer bottles and other objects thrown at him when he entered the stadium. Local police have reported that one officer and a bystander sustained minor injuries.
The match was suppose to began at 2:45 pm EDT, but was delayed 45 minutes due to the scenes outside the stadium. United captain Wayne Rooney told Sky Sports that, “It’s a big night for West Ham, but I’m sure West Ham as a club will be disappointed with what fans have done.”
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan had a different view of the manner, telling the news outlet that, “Man United should have got here at 4pm. They know it’s our last game.
“What people forget is that they’ve got trains and buses to get home and we’ve got a wonderful, wonderful show after the game for them. Many just can’t stay any more.”
This isn’t the first time United have shown up late to a match this season. They were late to a match against Tottenham Hotspur on April 10 due to traffic problems, which resulted in that game to be delayed as well.
