Penguins fans reacted joyfully on Twitter after their team eliminated the Washington Capitals in the second round.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have officially eliminated the Washington Capitals, beating them 4-3 in overtime in Game 6 to win the series four games to two. For the first time since the 2012-13 season, the Pens will be in the Eastern Conference Finals. While they will have a tough time going against the Tampa Bay Lightning, for now, Pens fans should celebrate their impressive series win over the Capitals.

Penguins fans from all over Twitter reacted to the series win over a bitter rival and the President’s Trophy champion Capitals. It was a hard fought series and fans were ecstatic to see their team advance to the conference finals.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter as the Pens beat the Caps to move on to face the Lightning. There were a ton of crying Jordans and a lot of happy GIFs. And of course, there was also some hardcore trolling of the Capitals. It was all well deserved after the Pens beat a team that was favored to beat them. And they were able to do it on home ice as well. Well done.
