One United States Marine surprised his daughter by returning from deployment to greet her on the field at the Atlanta Braves game.

One of the great things about sports is its ability to create special moments on and off the field. The way that sports have braced our veterans and active members of the military has been one of the things done right.

The MLB is one league in particular that really embraces those that protect and serve us every day. Whether it’s having veterans stand up to be thanked during a game, making sure they are taken care of when they come to a game or reuniting them with family members, the MLB does a fantastic job supporting those fighting for us.

At the Atlanta Braves game on Wednesday night, there was a great moment on the field, as a United States Marine returned home from deployment to surprises his daughter at the game.

As his daughter was part of a chorus singing the National Anthem, the Marine came out onto the field as his daughter ran to embrace him.

Players from the Braves began applauding as they stood on the field and so did the entire crowd in attendance. It’s one of those moments that makes people thankful for the military that is protecting us today and it’s an even greater moment for a young girl that gets to see her father again.
