Adam Silver did a good job making amends with Stephen Curry for leaving him hanging on Wednesday

Wednesday night prior to the Golden State Warriors taking on the Portland Trail Blazers, Stephen Curry received his MVP trophy in front of his home fans. What he did not receive, however, was a handshake from the commissioner of the league, Adam Silver.

If you missed the hilarious moment, you can watch it below.

Man, that’s just harsh from the man that runs the NBA show. However, he was quick to make up for the mistake.

Thursday on the official NBA Twitter account, Silver offered this up as an apology.

Hey, you gotta give it to the man here. He realized his mistake and he was able to ultimately own up to it and offer the apology publicly. Even if he had some intern tweet that for him probably, it’s really the thought that ultimately counts.

But you bet that if Curry wins another MVP award next season, Silver will make sure to give him that initial handshake when he presents him with the trophy.
