Russell Westbrook knocked down a huge three in Game 6 against the Spurs and taunted them a bit

The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up a huge victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 on Tuesday night to go up 3-2 in the series heading back home to Chesapeake Energy Arena on Thursday night for Game 6. Russell Westbrook was ready to lead the Thunder once again (zebra-print shoes and all) and showed off a bit in the second quarter.

After the Thunder jumped out to a minor lead after the first quarter, Russell Westbrook and OKC really started piling it on the Spurs in the second quarter. After getting a steal and starting a fast break the other way, Russ pulled up for a three in transition on the right wing and knocked down a huge three. In typical fashion of the boisterous Thunder point guard, Westbrook stopped and posed in front of the Spurs and in front of his home crowd:

He’s sincerely one of the best things in basketball and the NBA right now; there’s no player beyond Stephen Curry that you have to keep your eyes on 100 percent of the time because of what he might do.

What’s great, though, is that Russell Westbrook’s performance in Games 5 and 6 and shots like this three in transition could be setting up a matchup between Westbrook and Curry in the Western Conference Finals. For those of us who love basketball, let’s hope that’s forthcoming.
