NHL Playoffs: What channel is Penguins vs. Lightning Game 1 on?
What channel is Game 1 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins on tonight?
Game 1 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins will be taking place on Friday, May 13. Coverage begins at 8:00 p.m. EST. The game will be played in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Consol Energy Center. Pittsburgh, led by rookie sensation Matthew Murray, will be trying to win yet another home game as Murray has not lost at home since December.
Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin will be trying to get going after combining for zero goals and four assists against the Washington Capitals in the second round.
On the other side of the ice, the Lightning have gotten great contributions from all over their lineup. They’re hoping to get healthy and bring back J.T. Brown, Anton Stralman, and captain Steven Stamkos. Despite those injuries, they have been doing very well thanks to Nikita Kucherov, Jonathan Drouin, Tyler Johnson, and Victor Hedman.
Ben Bishop has been phenomenal and brilliant between the pipes as well. They will need to play extremely well to beat a Penguins team that has been on fire since February. Tampa has proven that they are capable of making sustained playoff runs just like they did last postseason.
Game 1 will be aired on NBC Sports Network. The game can also be viewed on your computer or your smartphone thanks to NBC Sports Live Extra. However, if you want to use NBC Sports Live Extra to view the game, you will need to have your cable username and password ready.
