After hitting a walk-off double David Ortiz yelled at reporters before leaving quickly.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will be retiring at the end of the 2016 MLB season. Judging by how he has done so far this season, the Red Sox and their fans should be hoping that Ortiz considers other options because he has been outstanding this season. In a 6-5 win over the Houston Astros on May 14, Ortiz hit a home run in the third inning, a game-tying triple in the ninth inning, and a walk-off double in the 11th inning.

This marks the first time in Ortiz’s career when he has gotten a double, triple, and home run in the same game. After his walk-off double, his Red Sox teammates mobbed him and created a huge dust storm in the process.

After the game, Ortiz had to get to his daughter’s birthday party, so he had no time to mess around with the media. Ortiz yelled an expletive at the media and went to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.

Just another day in the life of Big Papi, arguably the most beloved Red Sox player of the past 50 years. Ortiz has 10 home runs on the season and he’s doing his best to make sure that like Peyton Manning and Ray Lewis, he gets to retire on top after another championship.
