NHL Playoffs: When is Sharks vs. Blues Game 2?
When is Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues?
Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the San Jose Sharks and the St. Louis Blues ended with the Blues narrowing out San Jose 2-1. The Blues won 2-1 thanks to an unbelievable performance from goaltender Brian Elliott. Captain David Backes and forward Jori Lehtera each scored a goal, which Lehtera getting the game-wining goal.
The Sharks played a strong game, but they were not able to beat out the Blues. San Jose was led by captain Joe Pavelski, who had seven shots on goal and an assist. Forward Tomas Hertl scored the lone San Jose goal. Defenseman Brent Burns had an impressive evening with an assist and three shots on goal. However, goaltender Martin Jones was hurt by the soft goal that he allowed to Lehtera, allowing two goals on 23 shots on goal while making 21 saves.
Game 2 promises to be an equally exciting affair. The game can be viewed nationally on NBCSN on Tuesday May 17 beginning at 8:00 PM EST. If you are away from your television, you can still view the game on your smartphone or your computer courtesy of NBC Sports Live Extra. Game 2 will be played at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, home of the Blues.
Expect San Jose to come out very strong as they try not to leave St. Louis down 2-0 in the series. The Blues will have to be at their best in Game 2 to hold off San Jose.
