Watch Anthony Rizzo help Cubs fan propose (Video)

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo served as the wingman to help one Cubs fan propose to his girlfriend.

Anthony Rizzo can do no wrong.

The slugging Cubs first baseman is off to his best start of his MLB career and sits among the leaders in baseball in home runs and RBI. He’s the best position player on the best team in baseball as the Cubs boast a staggering nine-game lead in the National League Central.

He is in contention to win the MVP for the firs time in his career and in search of that elusive World Series ring.

But Rizzo isn’t too busy to take a time out from that pursuit to help on Cubs fan put a ring on the finger of another as he served as the wingman for a special marriage proposal at the Fanatics Chicago Memorabilia Show.

This is pretty sweet.

I like how Rizzo sets the guy up nicely by asking if he has any other questions he wants to ask.

Now, that’s how a wingman works!

In all seriousness, this is a memory that family will never forget and I’m sure Rizzo will be their favorite player for the rest of their lives. And for Rizzo, he gets a memory to touch the lives of some people off the diamond, which is a true representation of a player using his star power in athletics and making a difference outside of the game.
