Here are five reasons why the city of Las Vegas should get an NFL franchise as soon as possible, and why opponents should stop fighting it.

In the last few weeks, what was once a distant thought and seemed unlikely ever to take place is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality. The city of Las Vegas, Nevada seems to be ready to join the world of the NFL, as talks with the Oakland Raiders about relocation to the area are looking more and more positive.

With the Raiders ownership saying they are willing to chip in nearly $500 million of the estimated $1.5 billion that it would cost to build a domed stadium right near the city’s famed strip, officials within the city believe that the NFL could be kicking off for real in Las Vegas by the 2019 season.

There are still things preventing a relocation of the Raiders or any other team to Las Vegas, as some owners remain hesitant about wanting the league so close to legalized gambling on sporting events. Despite that, there are plenty of reasons why the NFL should have a franchise in “Sin City” and here are the top five reasons why Las Vegas should get a NFL team now.
