5 reasons Las Vegas should get a NFL team now

3. The planned dome stadium can’t be passed up
If there is one thing that will get anyone to change their mind (especially the mind of a money grubbing pro sports team owner), it is the chance to make even more money. A new $1.5 billion dollar domed stadium in the city of Las Vegas is just the thing that will get owners on the fence over to the side of relocation.
With the ownership of the Raiders willing to chip in as much as one third of the cost of the new stadium (which would be located not far from the strip and would also house UNLV football and other events), it looks more and more like the stadium is becoming a reality.
If you compare the current home of the Raiders in Oakland to what would be in play for Las Vegas (with the chance to hold other events like the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl or even the NFL Draft there), it isn’t even a close decision. 23 of the other 31 owners would look at the plans and gladly sign on to getting more green in the league’s pockets.
