Gennady “GGG” Golovkin is once again calling for the belt that’s rightfully his, according to him

Right now the boxing world is fixated on one thing and one thing only, that being whether or not Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez will battle one another to find out who the best middleweight in the world is at this moment. It’s coming down to decision time, so we will find out soon.

Now for the past few weeks, GGG has been calling for the belt that he believes is rightfully his. You see, while he has his own stash of middleweight titles, the one that he is missing is the one that Canelo holds — the WBC title. On Monday, Golovkin once again publicly called for “his” belt.

Nearly two weeks ago, Alvarez successfully defended that WBC belt against Amir Khan, earning himself a sixth-round knockout win, and it was indeed a brutal knockout. Now, per WBC rules, Alvarez has 15 days to figure out something with GGG and his camp or else he will be stripped and Golovkin will be getting “his” title.

Still, though, you know that the competitor in GGG wants to get into that ring with Canelo and earn it the right way. He wants to put his power up against the power of Canelo to see who the best middleweight in the world really is.

Whether or not that will actually be the case, well, we’ll find that out soon.
