Miami Heat fear Chris Bosh will never be cleared by team doctors

After missing the second half of the 2015-16 season with more blood clots, the Miami Heat are reportedly worried that Chris Bosh will never be cleared.
For the second straight season, the Miami Heat played the second half of the schedule without maybe the best player on their team, forward Chris Bosh. After being hospitalized in February of 2015 with blood clots, Bosh was sidelined after the All-Star Break this pst February with a reoccurrence of the medical issue.
Now, with the Heat done for the season following their Game Seven loss Sunday to Bosh’s former team, the Toronto Raptors, team officials are starting to focus on the 2016-17 season, According to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst, that future may not include Bosh…but not because of the team’s wishes:
"There is a fear within the Heat organization that Bosh’s condition will prevent him from ever being cleared to play by team doctors, several sources said. It’s a result of exhaustive consultations with specialists. Something this big and delicate, the sides have gone deep attempting to understand all the options."
Chris Bosh made it clear that he wanted to return in time for this year’s playoffs, practicing and trying to show coaches and the front office he was ready to go. Despite that, the Heat would not clear Bosh and he was forced to watch from the sidelines as the team won their first round series against the Charlotte Hornets before being eliminated in the conference semifinals.
Chris Bosh joined the Heat in July 2010 as part of the team’s Big Three era that included guard Dwyane Wade and forward LeBron James. After four straight appearances in the NBA Finals (and two titles), James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers while Bosh signed a massive deal to remain with the Heat.
The 11-time All-Star has averaged over 19 points a game for his career to go along with nearly nine rebounds a game.
