After two difficult seasons in England, reports say Radamel Falcao could have a familiar place to play.

The 30-year-old Radamel Falcao hasn’t had the best stay in the English Premier League. For two seasons, the Colombian has moved to two of the biggest clubs in the country, Manchester United and Chelsea. In those two seasons, he has appeared 41 times and scored five goals. His time with both was seen as a disappointment, considering how good he was when playing for Atletico Madrid and even Monaco.

According to reports from Calciomercato, Falcao will go back to his former club AS Monaco in Ligue 1 and continue to play for the outfit that loaned him to United and Chelsea.

The clubs vice-president, Vadim Vasilyev, told the news outlet that, “Falcao will be back and I almost sure that he’ll stay here next season. We are fixing some details, but it is very likely that he’ll be wearing the AS Monaco shirt next season.”

While playing for Monaco for a season and a half, he played 24 matches and scored 14 goals in all competitions. He had nagging injury problems, but that didn’t stop Chelsea or Manchester United signing the striker on loan.

Monaco, who finished third in this season’s Ligue 1, will have a spot in next year’s Champions League qualifying stages. Having Champions League football will likely give Falcao a better reason to stay with Monaco and help his side overpower the reigning French league champions, Paris Saint-Germain.

A stay with Monaco will also give him a second chance in a league where there is less pressure for him to succeed, and hopefully rekindle his career. He may be 30, but Falcao still has more to give to many teams. When he is healthy, he can be a great striker.
