Raptors’ DeMarre Carroll says he has Jose Bautista’s back (Video)

Toronto Raptors forward Demarre Carroll is offering to have the back of fellow Toronto athlete, Blue Jays star Jose Bautista following an incident Sunday.
It was a day to remember for sports fans in the great north of Canada on Sunday, particularly in the city of Toronto. On the basketball court, the Toronto Raptors finished off the Miami Heat in Game Seven of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series to advance to their first conference finals in the history of the franchise.
On the baseball diamond, the Toronto Blue Jays were finishing off a series against the Texas Rangers when their star, outfielder Jose Bautista, was hit by a pitch late in the series finale. After Bautista took a hard slide into second base, he got involved in a fight with the Rangers’ Rougned Odor that gave us what has been the shot heard around the sports world.
Following their win over the Heat, Raptors forward Demarre Carroll was asked by a reporter for TSN if he could step out and help his fellow athlete playing in Canada not on the diamond, but when it comes to throwing it down:
Carroll will be a little busy over the next two weeks (maybe longer if a major upset takes place) with the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bautista, meanwhile, won’t have to face the Rangers for the rest of the 2016 regular season, so he should be safe for at least a couple months barring a playoff meeting like last season.
