Russell Westbrook gets away with blatant travel in Game 1 vs Warriors (Video)

Russell Westbrook had a blatant travel down the stretch in Game 1, but lucky for him it was never called

When it comes to the NBA Playoffs, every single call count from the referees. While we realize that they’re not perfect, the margin for error is ever so small. Well, on Monday night, the refs let Russell Westbrook get away with something that he definitely shouldn’t have.

With time winding down in regulation and the Thunder surprisingly up by three on the road against the defending champions, Westbrook was bringing the ball across the floor when he tried to come to a stop. He couldn’t and he ultimately looked like he was slipping on ice.

Anyone who knows the slightest bit about basketball that this is clearly a travel; you can’t have that much movement without dribbling the ball. Well, the people who didn’t get the memo on that were the refs, who didn’t call the foul, rather they decided to grant him the timeout.

When it comes to games like these, you just can’t miss those calls. Steve Kerr and the rest of the Warriors have every right to be livid.
