The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly infatuated with guard Kris Dunn if they don’t get one of the top two picks in the 2016 NBA Draft

Without question, former Providence Friars point guard Kris Dunn was one of the most impressive players in all of college basketball throughout his career. Now he’s expected to be a lottery pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, but the real question is where he’ll be taken and which team will select him.

It’s been obvious for quite some time now that the first two picks in the 2016 NBA Draft are going to be Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram, though the order that they’ll go in seemingly is changing by the day at this point. However, the rest of the NBA Draft Lottery is seemingly up in the air as to what will happen.

One of the big question marks at the top of the lottery, though, is the Los Angeles Lakers. If the Lakers’ pick—they have the second-best odds at No. 1 overall—falls in the top three, they’ll hold onto their pick. If not, the selection moves to the Philadelphia 76ers. If they miss out on Simmons and Ingram but still keep their pick by falling to No. 3, though, Dunn would be their guy according to a report from Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated:

That’s not a guy many would have connected to the Lakers because of D’Angelo Russell, but switching Russell’s role would obviously shake that up in a major way. We shall see, though, what happens to the Lakers pick and where Dunn eventually lands in the 2016 NBA Draft.
