28. player. 18. . Shooting Guard. Tennessee Volunteers. Josh Richardson

The second of two 2015 second-round picks will make an appearance in this 2015 NBA re-draft, as the Boston Celtics will take Tennessee Volunteers’ shooting guard Josh Richardson at No. 28.

Besides the Heat where Richardson has already become a solid rotational piece for Spoelstra, the basketball culture in place in Boston thanks to Ainge and Stevens would make for an ideal first-round landing spot for Richardson to begin his NBA career.

Boston runs a deep bench rotation with so many well-coached guards and forwards. While most of the players that Stevens has to work with don’t offer massive upside, Richardson seemed to tap into a great deal of unrecognized potential with the Heat as a rookie.

Since Hunter is already off the board in this re-draft, it makes good sense for the Celtics to add depth to their back court with the Richardson selection at No. 28. Had he emerged in Boston like he did with the Heat this season, maybe Ainge would turned some of the Celtics’ other back court assets into another All-Star caliber player to pair alongside Thomas in a package deal?

From both a positional and organizational standpoint, Richardson at No. 28 seems like a strong fit for the Celtics in this 2015 NBA re-draft.
