Former World Series MVP turned controversial TV personality Curt Schilling won’t debate Stephen A. Smith because he’s “a racist.”

Curt Schilling is one of the most outspoken sports analysts out there. He was recently let go by ESPN for basically spouting nothing but controversial things that didn’t portray the worldwide leader in sports in a positive light.

Another controversial ESPN analyst, Stephen A. Smith issued a challenge to Schilling recently, telling him to name a time and place for the two to debate and he’d be there.

However, ol’ Curt wants no part of that, for reasons that shouldn’t be obvious coming from him, but they are. The former World Series MVP turned dicey sports personality claimed that he wouldn’t consider debating with Stephen A. because he’s “a racist.”

This is what he had to say to NESN:

"“What am I going to debate about? I have no interest. I’m forty-nine years old. I have had cancer, I’ve had a heart attack, I’m losing my hair. I’m not going to waste my time with people I don’t respect.“I don’t respect him. I think he’s a racist, I think he’s a bigot. There’s nothing to debate, Number One, and Number Two, there’s not a chance in hell that I would do anything that would bring that station another viewer, ever.”"

Clearly the former MLB All-Star doesn’t think too highly of his former colleague, enough to call him a racist and a bigot — two words used to describe Schilling on a regular basis.

Who knows when Schilling will stop saying ridiculous things, but this is America, he is allowed to make as many dumb statements as he wants, but that doesn’t mean he’ll have a job when it’s all said and done.
