Stephen Curry and the Warriors ran wild at ORACLE in Game 2 to even the Western Conference Finals 1-1 with the Thunder
The Golden State Warriors suffered one of the most shocking losses of the 2016 NBA Playoffs to date in Game 1 when they lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in ORACLE Arena. While some people may have started questioning just how dominant the Warriors were in the West, they should have been worried for the Thunder and what was about to happen in Game 2 on Wednesday night.
In fairness, the Thunder kept up with the Warriors quite solidly through the first two quarters of play. Stephen Curry was kept largely in check and Kevin Durant was leading the way for OKC offensively. They went into the half trailing, but still remaining surely within striking distance.
Stephen Curry made sure that wasn’t the case in the third quarter as he came out firing and landing every single one of the bombs that he dropped. He hit triple after triple and ultimately ended up posting 17 points in the quarter. The efforts of the MVP pushed the Warriors lead to 20 points in the blink of an eye.
After that, OKC was never able to recover. Curry and the starters came out early in the fourth quarter and the Warriors were able to coast the rest of the way to pick up the win and even the series at 1-1.
Three Stars
Stephen Curry, Warriors – 28 points, three assists, two rebounds
Draymond Green, Warriors – 10 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two blocks, one steal
Andre Iguodala, Warriors – 14 points, three rebounds, three steals
