A look at when Warriors vs. Thunder Game 3 in the Western Conference Finals will be played
Without question, the Oklahoma City Thunder shocked the world to start the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors. However, the Warriors were able to respond with relative ease and now the West Finals are all knotted up at 1-1 and everyone is looking ahead to Game 3 as the series moves to Chesapeake Energy Arena.
In Game 1, both Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant came up huge against the Warriors to really lead the way. It’s not that no one gave them a chance against Golden State—but it was shocking to see them authoritatively get a victory in the first game of the series.
However much authority the Thunder won with in the first game of the series, though, the Warriors came out looking to make an even more punctuated statement on Wednesday night in Game 2. They came out huge after a close first half with Stephen Curry leading the way. That led them to going up by 20-plus and, as that team tends to do, they never looked back.
Now all eyes for this series are on Game 3 and the control that a win in that game would give the victorious team. As such, fans have to be wondering when Warriors vs. Thunder Game 3 will be played.
It’ll be a relatively long wait (though it’ll be worth it) to get to Game 3 as it’s not until Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. ET. It should be a war with the series moving to OKC, though.
