In a strange story filled with secret affairs and children, Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon is being sued for child support.

New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon has been married to his wife for 21 years, but he apparently has not been the most faithful husband. According to the New York Post, the 42-year-old Colon is being brought to court by 38-year-old Alexandria Santos because the Mets’ pitcher has not been paying his child support.

Santos “claims the $7 million-a-year player is a deadbeat dad who failed to pay child support for their elementary-school-age kids,” the Post reported on Wednesday. They also mention that Colon has never publicly acknowledged the two kids as his own.

Colon has been a productive pitcher for the Mets in recent years, but has been getting a majority of his attention based on his less traditional 5-foot-11, 283-pound frame. An out of shape 42-year-old man trying to hit a baseball or run the bases can make for some amusing moments.

That being said, Colon recently hit a home run out of one of the toughest places to hit in the big leagues.

Colon and Santos were on court on Monday, but the official court documents had the child support battle listed as “Anonymous v. Anonymous.” After representing himself in the case, Colon’s name was mentioned as an attorney, which is how his cover was blown.

If he had not represented himself in the case, this story would likely have never even reached the public. Tough luck, Bartolo.
