The Dallas Cowboys will be going all in on new rookie Ezekiel Elliott, giving him quite the smart merchandise push

The Dallas Cowboys recently went out on a big limb in the 2016 NFL Draft, selecting a running back with the No. 4 overall pick. They settled on taking Ohio State Buckeyes star Ezekiel Elliott to help boost their offense, which we’ll soon find out whether or not that was a smart move.

Now aside from his impressive skills from the running back position on the football field, if there was one thing that Elliott was known for during his time at Ohio State it was how he was a throwback. More specifically, he had an affinity for wearing crop top jerseys, even though he wasn’t allowed to eventually.

With this being the case, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys are cashing in. According to NBCDFW.com, the team does indeed plan on selling some Ezekiel Elliott crop top shirts, which really should be one of the best-selling pieces of merchandise they have entering the season this year.

Elliott’s jersey sales are already through the roof, so the Cowboys should be jumping at every chance they have to make some money off their new star. This is the smart way to go for the time being, because Elliott did garner a lot of notoriety for wanting to wear only half of his jersey on the field.

The NFL these days is as much of a business as it is a game, and no one understands that more than the Cowboys.
