4. A bright future that can be built around

When people think of the Miami Heat and the way that they are constructed, they usually think of the tremendous job that Pat Riley has done in bringing superstars to his team and rounding the roster out with good players as well.

While that pretty much is the strength of the organization, they also have done a good job of adding some young players to the roster. The Heat have guys like Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson and Hassan Whiteside that they’re counting on for the future.

While they’ll have to re-sign Whiteside in free agency and could have a hard time doing so, there still is plenty of youth on the roster that should round out to really good players in this league.

If Durant is going to come to Miami, he doesn’t have to worry about just having aging players in the league around him. He’s going to have Winslow, Richardson and maybe Whiteside. He’s also going to have Goran Dragic, who is still fairly young.

Add in the other moves that Riley will make and the Heat have a bright future that should remain competitive for years. Throw Durant into the mix and it’s an entirely different story.
