18. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs move ahead of the Colts here, and they begin the part of the uni-watch where the looks aren’t bad at all. They also become much harder to grade at this point because there is nothing that stands out as old, tired or bad.

So when you look at the Chiefs and say they don’t do too much, they stick to their roots and they have a nice old school feel, how is that different from the Colts? Simple, the Chiefs started with something that looked good.

Also, unlike their AFC counterparts, the Chiefs incorporated a third color to make their numbers and names “pop.” The yellow in those areas, as well as on the socks and down the pants is the difference between a boring red and white uniform and a neat style that is brought together nicely.

Having a good look in what they wear is imperative for the Chiefs, because as long as Alex Smith is the quarterback, they will probably feature one of the least explosive offenses in football, especially now that their only real weapon is out with running back Jamaal Charles injured.

Seeing some of the best players in the NFL like quarterback Joe Montana and running back Marcus Allen wearing this outfit at the end of their career may have helped it in the standings some, but having these players in their prime may have made it look even better.
