10. Detroit Lions

One of the oldest teams in the NFL comes in next, 1930 saw the Portsmouth Spartans take to the field and four years later they became the Detroit Lions. The team which symbolizes the hard-working, resilient nature of the city they play in. Despite their long history, the team has never been to the Super Bowl, but at least they look good trying.

With the exception of a brief stint in the 1940s, Detroit has featured the same blue and silver color scheme which they are famous for. This look was last updated in 2009 and the people behind it deserve some praise for revamping the look, without killing it.

The logo was cleaned up and made a little more modern, with the lions face now pronounced and his teeth are visible. They also made the word “Lions” in their logo a more modern style, and neither are done in a class-less way. The color scheme flows nicely and the shade of blue used is very appealing.

The Lions however are not perfect in regards to their uniforms. One area that needs to be addressed is their Thanksgiving Day attire. A petition should be started to get the Lions back into their solid silver helmet and blue jersey on Thanksgiving Day, some traditions should never be abandoned. This was one of them.
