NFL uniform watch: Ranking of all 32 team’s uniforms
By Randy Gurzi
25. Denver Broncos
I give Denver credit for going full-time orange jersey as this is a huge upgrade over the look from quarterback John Elway’s final days in Denver, but still this doesn’t really stand out as one of the better jersey’s in the NFL. Instead, it feels like another team that falsely believed they had to change their look to fit in with the changing league.
The result is a stripe running top to bottom (the trend in the late 1990’s apparently) which looked as different as possible from their old look. The Blue-on-blue was a little hard to look at, and the team always seemed to look more professional when they would wear their alternate orange with the white pants.
This became the regular look after a change was made in 2012, getting the original color of the Broncos back in the fold.
This positive change coincided with the team also luring in one of the biggest free agent acquisitions ever in quarterback Peyton Manning. All of a sudden they looked better, they played better, heck everything seemed better.
So why still so low on this list? Simple, the uniform still needs something different because it clashes with that huge purple mark on Peyton’s head that he has from wearing a helmet that must be two sizes too small.
