Red Sox CF Jackie Bradley Jr. hits home run to extend hitting streak to 25 games (Video)

Boston Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. extended his hitting streak to 25 games with a home run against the Cleveland Indians.

The Boston Red Sox are tied for first place in the American League East and it’s because of a bunch of timely hitting from center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr.

The center fielder had hit safely in 24 straight games heading into Friday night’s showdown with the Cleveland Indians.

Bradley Jr. wasted no time extending his streak to 25 games, when he finally came up to the plate in the second inning. Bradley Jr. swung on the second pitch of the at-bat and hit the ball clear out to center field for his eighth home run of the season.

The crowd would go wild as their 26-year-old center fielder continued to do his thing on the field. With a tremendous season thus far, Bradley Jr. seems like a likely candidate to make the All-Star Game.

His high batting average has been a huge lift for the team and part of the reason why they’re in contention at the quarter-mark of the season.

The real thing to watch now is just how far he can take this streak.
