Did Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James flop after being hit in the face during the middle of a scrum against the Toronto Raptors?

The court of public opinion can be a dangerous place. However, sometimes it’s good to go down that route when talking certain controversial plays and moments in sports.

The latest occurred during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors, when LeBron James got hit in the face by his own teammate in the middle of the scrum and went down to the floor.

While James certainly got hit in the face, it is the manner in which he went down to the floor that left everyone talking. It wasn’t like he got rocked hard or took a punch, he more or less got swiped in the face.

Instead of bending over and grasping his face, James took several steps back and fell backwards in an egregious manner.

This immediately had everyone accusing James of flopping on the play to try and strengthen his case with officials.

Upon further review, it certainly does look like a flop on the play, but you can’t blame the guy if he was feeling it after getting hit. However, he probably could have done without selling it so badly.
