A look at what happened during the WWE Extreme Rules PPV match of Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose.

One of the marquee non-title matches on the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view saw Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose continue their feud. The Lunatic Fringe created an Asylum match, which places both competitors inside a Steel Cage with a bunch of bizarre weapons. This was the first time this bout ever took place, so did Ambrose or Jericho walk out of the show with a win?

Here’s a look at everything that happened in this Extreme Rules match.

Time for this Asylum match. How could this go?

Jericho looks full psyched up for this bout.

Ambrose looks ready to go as well.

Jericho tried climbing the cage to grab a weapon, but Ambrose stopped him.

Ambrose then looked for his first weapon of choice.

Ambrose then poked Jericho in the ear with the mop. This is one bizarre match.

Ambrose then rubbed the mop in the face of Jericho.

Jericho would get a 2X4 and look to attack Ambrose.

Jericho would break out a kendo stick and begin hitting Ambrose with it to take control.

They don’t call him Dean “Nunchucks” Ambrose for nothing.

Ambrose then hit Jericho in the face with a strap. Ouch.

Ambrose then had to find a way to wake the crowd up because this match just wasn’t working. He hit a big elbow drop from the top of the cage on to Jericho.

Ambrose then broke out thumb tacks. What?

To continue this long match, Jericho did this.

Ambrose would get the win.

This match went ridiculously long and just wasn’t that interesting. Bizarre call from WWE for this Extreme Rules PPV match.
