In a Sweet 16 rematch from last season, Indiana will host North Carolina in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge next year
When you talk about college basketball and the traditional powerhouses in the history of the sport, two of the most historic and storied programs have long been the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Indiana Hoosiers. For the 2016-17 college basketball season, fans of both programs and of great basketball will be getting a treat in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
On Monday night, the schedule for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge was revealed and Indiana will host North Carolina next season in a rematch from the Sweet 16 in the 2016 NCAA Tournament:

Considering that Indiana and North Carolina put on one of the best shows of the entire tournament last year, this should be a fantastic matchup.
There’s so much to love about these two teams squaring off. You have two great coaches in Roy Williams and Tom Crean with great rosters that they’ve been able to recruit to their big-time programs all with history tagging along as well. The stage is set already and it’s glorious.
Obviously there are going to be different pieces to the puzzle on both sidelines next season as the Tar Heels graduated the likes of Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige while players like Troy Williams and James Blackmon Jr. are gone for the Hoosiers. However, these two teams facing off will hopefully deliver another classic between two of the most storied programs in the country.
