NBA Draft prospect survives an Uber explosion

2016 NBA Draft hopeful and former Kansas player Brannen Greene survives a near death experience where the Uber he was in exploded in a terrifying car crash.
Former Kansas Jayhawks basketball player Brannen Greene is very luck to be alive. On Friday in New York City training for the 2016 NBA Draft, Greene was involved in a near fatal car crash when he was taking an Uber.
The car was hit from behind on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx. Greene told the Kansas City Star that “the car went so high in the air, it actually hit underneath the overpass and then came back down and then went airborne again.”
Miraculously both Greene and the Uber driver were able to walk away from the accident merely seconds before the exploded into flames. The police were amazed that both Green and the driver survived the hit from behind.
Greene came out of the accident with minor bumps and bruises, but a brutal headache and serious trauma from the incident. He did take to Twitter on Sunday evening to say that he’s doing alright after the horrifying car accident in the Bronx.
How hard Greene and the driver must have been hit from behind to cause the sedan to go airborne twice, have all of its windows shattered, and then ultimately burst into flames as a result from the impact is just scary to even think about.
While the junior out of Kansas may not end up getting drafted after playing sparingly for Bill Self in Lawrence in 2015-16, it’s more important that Greene was able to come out of the near fatal accident in good health and hopefully good spirits.
