After holding the attention of everyone around the league hostage for a day on Monday, the NBA has decided where they stand on the case of Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green kicking Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams in the groin.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, sources have told him that the league will not be suspending Green for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Of all the decisions that Adam Silver has made in his tenure as commissioner, this is certainly one of the toughest decisions that he has had to make and it was definitely a judgment call as well.
While he suspended Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dahntay Jones for hitting Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo in the groin, it doesn’t have the same impact as suspending Green. The Warriors and Green argued that it wasn’t intentional and therefore maybe they didn’t see enough to call it as such.
By suspending Green, it would have greatly impacted the series and that could have forever left an asterisk on the legacy of this season, which could perhaps be why they chose not to suspend him.
At the same time, there will be those calling out the league for a double standard and not suspending Green after just suspending Jones earlier.
No matter what side of the coin people fall on, Green will be playing Game 4 and the Warriors and Thunder should engage in what should be one of the more emotional battles on the court.
