Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns for the title was set for WWE Money In The Bank 2016 by Shane McMahon on WWE RAW

Seth Rollins shocked everyone on Sunday night at WWE Extreme Rules when he came in after the conclusion of the main event after being out of action for the last seven months to attack the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in Roman Reigns. That left fans all over the world waiting for the fallout on WWE RAW on May 23. It was for good reason that they were waiting.

The former champ in Rollins was out to start the show and addressed the fans and his return, clearly establishing himself as a heel as he talked down to the crowd and said he returned and would succeed in getting his title belt on his own. That ultimately brought out Roman and then Shane McMahon, the latter to address the situation.

Shane O Mac wasted little time at all getting to the point as he said this was a feud and match fit for WrestleMania—but added that they wouldn’t wait until the next Mania. Instead, Shane announced that it would be Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins for the title at WWE Money In The Bank on June 19:

This was what fans were expecting and hoping for and now it’s already official. Given the history between these two men, this is going to be a fun story to watch play out leading up to Money In The Bank.

More than anything, welcome back Seth Rollins.
